Our story
Development of FSR-Media
From the nursery to the leading Shopify agency in the north: Our journey shows what passion, know-how and true entrepreneurship can achieve.
2021
Founding and first projects
FSR-Media is a three-person startup founded by Joost Fooken, Jan Stelter, and Peer Rohse – hence the name. Their goal: to make Oldenburg retailers digitally visible during the pandemic. Their first client projects are being developed directly from their children's bedrooms.
2022
New beginnings and growth
FSR-Media is growing into a well-known Shopify agency. Jan and Peer move into a co-working space at the Oldenburg harbor and hire their first employees. Over 50 Shopify stores are successfully implemented.
2023
Own spaces and new structures
The move to our own office space at the Oldenburg harbor marks another milestone. The infrastructure is being expanded – we now have over 100 successfully managed Shopify stores.
2024
Professionalization and expansion
FSR-Media GbR becomes a GmbH (limited liability company). This is followed by a move to an entire office floor. The team continues to grow with the addition of designer and Shopify expert Jan Hanken. Over 150 shop owners trust FSR-Media – the agency becomes a top address in the north.
2025
Scaling and new successes
Tim Löwe, Shopify expert and email marketing specialist, has joined the team. FSR-Media has successfully guided five online stores through the migration to Shopify Plus. Over 180 store projects have been implemented to date – and the number is growing.
